Your clients are smart, and their email spam filters are even smarter. Both can detect when an email is trying to sell them something, and the best way to avoid this is by changing your language. Consider using more casual lingo that the majority of your audience will understand. Leave out the big fancy technical words and phrases that are hard to understand. These will not grab their attention. Some words are unavoidable depending on the products you are offering, but try your best not to sound too sales-y.
